CERC Inpatriate Healthcare Plan Program
Canadian Employee Relocation Council (CERC), in consultation with UNIRISC and the Steven Cohen Insurance Agency, is pleased to sponsor a healthcare benefit to CERC members and their transferees.
This program is underwritten by AXA Assurances, Inc. and is intended to cover temporary workers coming to Canada during the customary 90 day waiting period that most provinces require. In addition, in provinces such as Ontario, if the work assignment is for less than three years, only the working spouse is covered under the provincial healthcare plan.
This program will enable the transferee to enroll his or her family in a plan that mirrors the provincial program and in many cases, exceeds it. Perhaps the most outstanding feature of this new program is that it waives "pre-existing" which is almost unheard of when buying medical insurance.
